Rains to Intensify In Coastal Districts For Three Days: Yellow Alert Issued

Rainfall has picked up at several places in the state after a gap of almost seven days. Moderate rainfall was recorded at he coastal districts from August 21, Sunday. Mangalore & Udupi remained cloudy and moderate rainfall was witnessed at several parts of the district.

The Indian meteorological department has issued yellow alert for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi & Uttara Kannada Districts starting from August 23. The IMD has predicted that rainfall will intensify in the coastal districts which will continue till August 25.

The IMD has also warned the fishermen to venture into fishing activity as the sea is predicted to be rough during the next three days.
