Residents of Surathkal Will Face a Temporary Disruption in Drinking Water Supply June 3 & June 4

Residents of Surathkal area will face a temporary disruption in their drinking water supply as maintenance work is scheduled for a crucial water pipeline. Consequently, there will be no drinking water supply from 6 am on Monday, June 3, until 6 am on Tuesday, June 4.

The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) relies on the Thumbay dam for supplying drinking water to the city. However, a 900 MM diameter pipe responsible for pumping water to the Panambur area requires urgent attention. As a result, refixing work is slated to take place from Kottara Chowki to Goldfinch grounds.

The affected areas include Surathkal, Katipalla, NITK, MCF, Kapikad, Kulur, Jalligudde, parts of Kavoor, parts of Kodikal, Pacchanady, Ashoknagara, Derebail, Kulai, Mukka, and Panambur.
