Sale of EVs Increase Considerably: MESCOM Plans to Establish 1000 EV Charging Stations
The Mescom is planning to open 1000 charging points for electrical vehicles (EV) in the next five years as the sale of EVs has increased considerably. At present, there are 61 centres under the Mescom limits. Out of this, 17 are in Dakshina Kannada, 12 in Udupi.
The Mescom has already given the contract of establishing EV stations in Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts to Medical Systems Company of Bangalore. There is a high possibility that the consumers may opt for electric vehicles in coming days as more charging centres are opened.
