Schools Reopen For Classes 8, 9 & 10 in Dakshina Kannada: Good Number of Students Attend

The offline classes for 8, 9 & 10 students reopened on September 17, Friday in Dakshina Kannada. Students turned up in good numbers to attend physical classes on the first day of offline classes for high schools and even semesters of degree courses under Mangalore University. Secondary schools with more numbers of students held classes for standards IX and X in the forenoon and for standard VIII in the afternoon and schools with less number of students held classes for all the three standards in the forenoon. Teachers welcomed the students in different ways. A total of 11,218 students, including 119 from Kasaragod district of Kerala, attended classes for the first pre-university on the second day of reopening of physical classes. Schools have been asked to maintain social distance and only 20 students were allowed to sit in a classroom.
