Second Dose Of Vaccine For Children: DK District Administration Makes All Arrangements

The Dakshina Kannada district administration has made all necessary arrangements to administer the second dose to the target group. DHO Dr Kishore Kumar M said that the district has achieved 86% of the target in administering the first dose of vaccine against Covid-19, in the age group of 12-14 years.

Majority of the beneficiaries above 18, have already been covered with the first dose of the vaccine. The second dose has been administered to 94% of the people in the district. In the 15-17 age category, 94% of beneficiaries have taken the first dose, while 83% have taken the second dose. The precautionary dose of the vaccine has been administered to 65% of frontline workers, 49% of health workers and 50% of those above 60 in the district.
