Separate Sand Policy For Coastal Region: MLA’s Urge CM For Speedy Implementation

November 13: The state government had earlier mooted a separate sand policy for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi & Uttara Kannada districts after requests from the political leaders for preferred allocation of sand minig blocks as against auctioning.
MLA’s from the coastal region along with District in charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary met Chief Minister Yediyurappa and urged tfor speedy implementation of separate sand policy in Dakshina Kannada.
CM Yediyurappa has responded to the request and has promised to take necessary action and implement the policy soon.
