Seven Areas In DK District Are Declared As Covid-19 Containment Zones: Is Mangalore In The List?

April 19, Seven areas in Dakshina Kannada District have been declared as Covid-19 containment zones since covid-19 cases have been reported from these zones.
Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh said that the areas are Sajipanadu and Thumbe in Bantwal, Janata colony in Karaya of Belthangady, Smart planet apartment in Thokkottu, Sampya Mane in Puttur, Uppinangady in Puttur and Ajjavara in Sullia.
An ‘Incident Commander’ having magisterial powers has been appointed in these seven areas. A complete lockdown will be observed here.
