Several Flights Introduced via Mangalore International Airport During Winter Schedule: Click For Details

Air India Express is planning to add two new flights to Bangalore from Mangalore International Airport (MIA), starting from Wednesday. The new flight timings are convenient for passengers who can further take international flights. It is a winter schedule, and new flights will also further connect from Chennai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram and Varanasi. Officials from MIA said that with this new addition, the airport domestic passenger footfall is likely to grow in the coming days.

Varanasi and Mangalore will be connected only for 10 days, up to November 25. From November 26, the same flight will be connected from Chennai to Mangalore via Bangalore. It departs Chennai at 9.35am, reaches KIA at 10.35am, with a 50 minute layover and no change in aircraft, and reaches MIA at 12.10pm. The flight IX 678 again departs from MIA to KIA at 12.40pm, and arrives at 1.55pm.

The second new flight will be between Kannur-Bangalore-Mangalore (IX 1795). It will operate from Wednesday. It will depart from Kannur at 4.30pm and arrive at KIA at 5.50pm and later depart for MIA at 6.25pm and reach at 7.35pm. The same aircraft, with a changed flight number IX792, will depart MIA at 8.15pm, arrive in KIA at 9.30pm and after 50 minutes of layover, depart for Thiruvananthapuram, and arrive at 11.25pm. The aircraft will be a Boeing 737 Max, as per the current details available on the airline website.

The Pune-Mangalore flight that was temporarily suspended between October 29 to November 18, will resume from November 19, with a thrice-a-week flight service. The timings have also changed. The flight 6E177 will depart from Pune at 7.25am, arriving at MIA at 9.05am. The flight 6E358 will depart from MIA at 10.15am and reach Pune at 11.40am. The flight will be a 186-seater Airbus A320.
