Strict Rules to be Implemented in Dakshina Kannada: More Flying Squads to Enforce Lockdown Guidelines

In order to curb the spread of covid 19, Dakshina Kannada district DC Rajendra said that stricter rules will be implemented next week. The DC mentioned that the covid positivity rate is hovering around 20-21% and has to be reduced to down to 5% for the lockdown to be lifted or else there will be partial lockdown with stringent guidelines. Strict action will be taken against the people roaming unnecessarily in the city.
It has been decided to ensure cancellation of all scheduled marriages and other functions in all Gram Panchayats of the district where there are more than 50 positive cases. Ten flying squads are deputed to monitor violations in the MCC limit and to ensure all Covid rules are followed and to see shops did not function beyond the  permitted time.
