Study Centre In The Name Of Brahmasri Narayana Guru : Work Starts At Mangalore University

January 13: District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that Brahmasri Narayana Guru Adhyayana Peetha building will soon come up at Mangalore University campus. The foundation was laid for the same on January 12, Sunday at Mangalgangotri campus.

Minister  Srinivas Poojary promised to facilitate the release of Rs one crore for the completion of the building. He said that  saint reformer Brahmasri Narayana Guru fought against untouchability and launched the campaign to eradicate inequality in society. Narayana Guru heralded a social revolution in the country and his preachings are relevant even to this day, he added.
Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof P S Yadapadithaya presided over the programme.
