Swimmers From Dakshina Kannada Win Medals at NRJ Sub Junior & Junior State Swimming Championship 2024
Swimmers from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district win eight medals at the NRJ Sub Junior and Junior State Swimming Championship 2024 held in Bengaluru recently. The swimmers were trained at Dr Shivarama Karantha Balavana Swimming Pool in Puttur and St Aloysius Swimming Pool, Mangalore.
The swimmers Prateekshana Shenoy has bagged three bronze medals in 50, 100 and 200 metres breaststroke. She clocked 36.44 seconds in 50metres, 1:20:21 in 100metres and 3:00:86 in 200metres breaststroke. Monya Kousumi bagged a gold medal with her brilliant performance in 50metres freestyle by clocking 29.67 seconds.
Likith Ramachandra won a silver medal in 50meters breaststroke by clocking 37:33 seconds and a bronze medal in 200meters clocking 2:43:29. Laasya Kishen won a silver in 50metres freestyle by clocking 29.90 seconds and a bronze medal in 50meters breaststroke clocking 39.93 seconds. They were trained by coaches Partha Varanashi, Deekshith, Niroop, Rohith and Vikas.
