Swimming 1.4 Kms in Padmasana Pose & Chained Legs: Person From Udupi Creates New Record

January 25: Gangadhar G Kadekar from Udupi district has created a new record by swimming a distance of 1.4 km in the sea with his legs chained and in Padmasana pose. This is the first such record in India Book of Records.

Gangadhar started his mission at 8.36 am on January 24, Sunday at Kidiyoor Padukere  in Udupi and covered a distance of 1.4 kms by 9. 49 am.
MLA Raghupati Bhat congratulated Gangadhar G Kadekar. Yashpal Suvarna, president of Udupi district cooperative fish federation. Hariyappa Kotian, managing director of Karthik Group Malpe, additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu, superintendent of coastal guard police Chethan R, referee Harish R, vice president of Jai Durga Swimming Club (R) Kadekar Chandra M Kundar, Harsha Mendon, Janardhana Kotian and all members and locals were present.
