Task Forces Formed For Different Wards in Mangalore City: This is How it Will Work

Mangalore city corporation has formed task forces different wards in Mangalore city in the leadership of respective corporators. Each task force will have a corporator, residents of the ward or activists, a medical officer serving in the primary health centre, a social worker and an ASHA health worker.
The task force has to register the details of those who are corona-positive and ensure that the infected are taking necessary treatment along with collecting details of people who were in their primary or secondary contact. They have to either paste a poster on the residences of the infected so that people steer clear of the area or declare it as a containment zone and to also ensure that the infected contacts remain in quarantine. The task force will help in providing groceries to those who are in home quarantine.
District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary presided over the meeting. Mayor Premanand Shetty, deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V, MLA Vedavyas Kamath (Mangalore South), MLA Dr Bharath Shetty Y (Mangaluru North), corporation commissioner Akshy Sridhar, police assistant commissioner, Hariram, corporators, officers, staff and district health officers were present for the meeting.
