The 34th Mangalore Dasara & Navaratri Festival at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple Will Start on October 15
The 34th Mangalore Dasara and Navaratri festival at Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple will commence on October 15 with the installation of Ganesha, Navadurge and Sharada Idols.
While the festival will be held with various religious and cultural events till October 25, the Mangalore Dasara procession will be taken out from the temple premises at 4pm on October 24. Various religious rituals will be held at the temple during the festival.
The Mangalore Dasara procession will be taken out in the city via Kambla Road, Mannagudda, Brahmasri Narayana Guru Circle, Lalbagh, Ballalbagh, PVS Circle, KS Rao Road, Hampankatta, Ganapathi High School Road and Car Street, and return to the temple for immersion in the ‘Pushkarini’ water tank, he said. The Mangalore Dasara procession will showcase the cultural heritage of various districts of Karnataka that herald Sanatan Dharma and Indian history.
