The Much-Awaited Karavali Utsav Will be Held in Mangalore From December 21: Beach Festival Will Also Be Held
The much-awaited Karavali Utsava will be held from December 21 in Mangalore as decided by Dakshina Kannada district administration.
The fest would be inaugurated at the Karavali Utsava Grounds in the city amid display of the rich cultural heritage of the region. Different practices, cultures, language etc., would be presented to the audience in collaboration with different academies, informed the Deputy Commissioner M.P. Mullai Muhilan.
One of the major attractions of the utsava, the Beach Festival, would be organised at Tannirbhavi and Panambur on December 28 and 29. The Yuva Utsava, offering the stage to young talents in the distfict, would be organised at the Kadri Park on January 4 and 5. The Kite Festival has been scheduled for January 17 and 18. Meanwhile, the Karavali Utsava Grounds would also host a food festival.
The River Festival, intended to bring people closer to rivers, would be organised at Harekala near the Adyar-Harekala vented dam-cum-bridge for which dates would be notified later.
