The Three Day Namma Angadi Exhibition Cum Sale Begins at Manipal: Here Are The Details
The 19th edition of the three-day Namma Angadi, an exhibition-cum-sale of products made by rural artisans, began at the Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), Manipal, on April 8, Friday. The expo was inaugurated by Udupi DC M Kurma Rao. The expo is being hosted by final-year post-graduation students of the institute. The three-day of event will conclude on April 10.
The event promotes local craftsmen by giving them a chance to showcase and sell their products amid the competition by commercial brands. There are a wide range of products from home decor to summery dresses to their newest launch. There are some décor items made out of mud, bamboo, paddy, wood that are attracting the visitors. The kids’ clothing is launching for the first time ever and the collection is made of materials like Jaipuri cotton and Kalamari.
