These Measures Will be Taken For The Smooth Counting of Lok Sabha Votes on June 4 at NITK: Check Out

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan gives details of the measures to be taken for the smooth counting of votes polled for the Lok Sabha elections. The counting will be held on June 4 at NITK, Suratkal.

A strong room will be opened between 6 am and 7 am and the postal vote counting would begin at 8 am followed by counting of votes polled in the EVM, at 8.30 am.
CCTV cameras would be installed and firecrackers will not be allowed in the vicinity from 5 am till midnight of June 4 under Section 144.
There will be 112 tables and 19 rounds of counting. Eight election officers and 554 officers and other staff including micro observers have been appointed.

City Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal said CAR, KSRP and paramilitary forces will be deployed for security purposes during the counting process.
