As per the last year’s admission data, 82 schools had about 2,834 admissions to first standard, which translates into 35 children for each school. ZP Govt Higher Primary School, Daddalkad, Bantwal taluk, has more than 100 admissions every year. According to the rules, only 30 students are allowed to be accommodated in each class. However, with growing demand, all schools have admitted whoever applied for seats. The starting of bilingual schools affects admissions to Kannada schools situated on the same campus.
