This is How 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Will be Celebrated in Dakshina Kannada
September 29: As per the directions from the Prime Minister’s Office, the district would be celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2 as Swatchata Divas.
Padayatras would be taken out in each one of the eight Assembly constituencies in the district from October 3. These Padayatras would be led by the MLA’s of respective constituencies and spread message of cleanliness and water literacy.
