This is How a 10 Year Girl Did Her Bit for Flood Victims

August 27: A ten year old Girl has done her bit towards flood victims of Dakshina Kannada District. Sanmathi, a student of fifth standard in Sharada Vidyanikethana English Medium School at Kinya near Talapady has handed over a cheque of Rs 10,000 and a letter to Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil S for flood relief works on Monday, August 26.
She is the daughter of Nithin, serving in the District PU Department. Sanmathi had celebrated her 10th birthday on August 25, when her grandmother former MLA Shakuntala Shetty had gifted her the Rs 10,000 cheque as birthday gift.
As a kind gesture Sanmathi has gifted the amount towards flood relief work in the district.
