April 20: Sharanappa (45) a resident of Derebail Borugudde, Kavoor, repeatedly stabbed his wife to death with a knife at around 3 am on Saturday. As per the information given by the locals, Sharanappa had often expressed suspicion about the character of his wife, Manjula (38).
Satish Ameen a neighbour of the deceased said that he heard loud noise from the house of Sharanappa early morning today. When he came out and saw from the window, Sharanappa was repeatedly stabbing his wife, who was lying on a cot, with a knife. Sharanappa was shouting at his wife Manjula and saying that he wanted her to die.
The body of the victim is sent for postmortem. The police are searching for Sharanappa who fled from the spot. A case has been registered in Kavoor police station.
