This is How Mangalore Reacted to Bharath Bandh Today

January 8: Bharath Bandh has been called by trade unions today against anti-labour policies of the government, along with other issues. The ten trade unions that have called a day’s strike are CITU,INTUC, AITUC, HMS, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF and UTUC, are also part of the strike.
However, Mangalore is unaffected by the bandh. Educational institutions and business concerns remain open. Public transport including buses and autorikshaws are also available.
Life is normal in the city without any chaos.
