This is the Compensation that Flood Hit Families will get from the Government: Details
August 13: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa was presiding over a review meeting in Dharmasthala, after inspecting the damaged Kukkavu bridge in Belthangady taluk on Monday, august 12.
Chief Minister said that every flood hit family will receive Rs 10000 as an interim relief. He even mentioned that as per a report provided by Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, 321 families have been affected due to floods. Out of which 75 per cent houses have been completely damaged and will 45-50 houses need only repairs
CM mentioned that the government will pay Rs 5000 to all those who have lost their houses completely (about 275 houses) until they rebuild their homes. This will be paid even if they stay with their relatives, he said. Along with this, the government will release Rs 1 lakh to every family for house repair in the first phase and Rs 5 lakh as compensation to rebuild houses.
Chief Minister said that Deputy Commissioner will arrange for new sites 30X40 or 30X50 and also arrange for issue of documents.
He also said that compensation for agriculture loss will be made after an assessment.
