This Mangalorean Doctor is Elected As The President of Indian Psychiatry Society Karnataka Chapter

Dr P K Kiran Kumar, professor and former head of the department of psychiatry, A J Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalore has been elected president of Indian Psychiatry Society Karnataka chapter for the year 2021-22 during the election which was held during KANCIPS-21, the annual conference of IPS-KC at Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore. Dr Kiran completed his MBBS degree from the prestigious KMC, Mangalore his MD degree in psychiatry at KMC, Manipal. He has been practising psychiatry for the past 22 years and is also the consultant psychiatrist at his own establishment A K Neuropsychiatry and Counseling Center, Highland and Maryhill. He is also the medical director of Nalapad Rehabilitation Centre, Kasargod and Kiran Rehabilitation, Mangalore. Dr Kiran has is also involved in doing community service by conducting various mental health camps in and around Mangalore. He hails from the renowned cloth merchant family of Dakshina Kannada, P K Dooja Poojari textiles.
