This Medical College In Mangalore Is All Set To Become Waste Free: Check Out
February 10: Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) Hospital located in Kankanady is all set to become the first zero-waste campus. The college has stopped handing over dry waste to Antony Waste Handling Cell (AWHC) Private Limited , the agency engaged in door-to-door garbage collection and transportation in Mangalore city.
It has set up three waste management units, of 6,000 litres capacity each, to convert nearly 1,200 kg of wet waste generated every day in their campus into manure. They have made arrangements to recycle the same through an agency.
Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) Hospital campus will be the first zero-waste campus in the city.
