Three Day Visual Art Workshop & Art Exhibition to be Held in Mangalore by Art Kanara Trust: Click For Details

The Art Kanara Trust, Mangalore is organizing a 3-day Visual Art Workshop and Art Exhibition on 25, 26 and 27th of January 2022 at the Kodialguthu Center for Art & Culture, Ballalbagh, Mangalore. The Workshop is supported by Karnataka Bank and S.L. Shet Jewellers & Diamond House, Mangalore.

The Visual Art Workshop with an Art Exhibition will be inaugurated on Tuesday 25 January 2022 at 9.30 am in the presence of Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Former Member of Karnataka Legislative Council; and M. Prashanth Shet, S.L. Shet Jewelers & Diamond House, Mangalore. The Visual Art Workshop, titled Re-looking at Depiction of Land/Landscape in Visual Art will be monitored by Ms. Shanthamani Muddaiah, a senior and well known contemporary artist from Bengaluru will be mentoring the workshop. About 20 students and young artists from Mahalasa College of Visual Art, Mangalore; Alva’s College of Visual Art, Mudabidri; Chitrakala Mandir, Udupi and Vijaya College of Fine Arts, Gadag will participate in the workshop. The workshop will be held between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm.

An exhibition ‘Artistic Encounters – knowing art and its makers’ will be held along with ongoing workshop. It is brought to Mangalore by Paradigm Art Foundation with the support of Shenoy Art Foundation, Bengaluru. The purpose of the exhibition is to educate the participants of the workshop about the prevailing contemporary art practices. The works of artists from different parts of the country, including Adip Dutta, Arjun Das, Harish Chennangod, Mani Murugesan, Sanjeev Mirajkar, Shanthamani M., Venugopal V.G. and Vigil will be on display. The exhibition is open to the public between 11 am and 7 pm on 25, 26 and 27th of January 2022.
