Dakshina Kannada Gets Tight Security by Police During Ganesh Chaturthi: More About This

September 1: Superintendent of Police B M Laxmiprasad said that the Dakshina Kannada police have strengthened security for the Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations.
He mentioned that Ganeshotsava is observed at 220 locations in Dakshina Kannada district which includes 19 hypersensitive areas and 63 sensitive areas (barring Commissionerate jurisdiction).
The SP Laxmiprasad mentioned that to provide suitable security for the occasion, 697 civil police personnel, five DAR platoons, four KSRP platoons and 226 Home Guard personnel have been deployed in the district.
