Tigress Which Gave Birth to 5 Cute Little Cubs at Pilikula Gets 15 lakh for a Shelter

November 15: Tigress Rani which had surprised officials and staff at Pilikula’s Nature Reserve by giving birth to 5 cubs at once two months will get a new shelter home built in Pilikula.
Abu Dhabi businessman Ramdas Kamath and his wife, Jayashree Kamath, donated Rs 15 lakhs for the construction of an animal-friendly dwelling place for five tiger cubs at the Dr Shivarama Karanth Pilikula Nature Park. HG Bhandari, director of the Biological Park, said that after his visit to Pilikula, he promised to provide more financial assistance for the further development of the park.
It has been revealed that park officials have decided to name five tiger cubs as suggested by the Kamath couple. Currently there are 13 tigers including 5 cubs in Pilikula. The Tigress Rani was brought from Bannerghatta, Bangalore, 3 years ago. Just two months ago, she gave birth to 5 cubs.
