Timely Action & Presence of Mind by Loco Pilot Averted Major Mishap Near Subramanya

Presence of mind of the loco pilot of the  Bangalore-Karwar train on October 25, Monday morning has averted a major mishap. The driver noticed the cracks in the track right after one coach passed from  Nettana towards  Edamangala. It was later noticed that the rails were completely severed due to pressure. He immediately ensured halt of the train and informed the concerned authorities. The train proceeded after the repair work was done. The driver’s timely action thus saved many lives.
