Traffic Banned On Charmadi Ghat Till August 11: Click For Details

August 8: Traffic has been banned on charmadi ghat as the road near Alekhan on national highway 73 developed cracks. The Malnad region has been experiencing torrential rainfall since past few days due to which the Charmadi Ghat has experienced landslides at several places.
Deputy commissioner of Chikkamagaluru district, Dr Bagadi Gautham, has order for ban on traffic movement on Charmadi Ghat road from Friday morning till August 11. The vehicles can take alternate road via Mudigere Handpost-Janapura-Anemahal-Shiradi-Gundia road (NH 75), he added.
