Traffic Diversions & Parking Arrangements During PM Modi’s Visit to Mangalore: Click to Know

Mangalore City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has informed  about the traffic diversions and parking  arrangements during  Prime Minister Narendra  Modi’s scheduled visit to Mangalore on September 2.

Vehicular movement will not be allowed from Kulur Junction  to Kottara Chowki from 6 am on September 2. Parking of vehicles on either sides of the road  on the Mangalore Airport-Kenjaru-Maravoor–Marakada–Kavoor–Bondel–Padavinangady– Yeyyadi–KPT–Kottara Chowki–Kulur–NMPA  will not be allowed. Parking of vehicles within a radius of 500 meters of Gold Finch City Grounds will also be restricted from 6 am to 5 pm on September 2.

The traffic diversions  to be implemented on September 2 are as follows.

Vehicles proceeding from Suratkal to Mangalore will travel from Kana, Jokatte, Porkody, Bajpe and Kaikamba. Vehicles proceeding from Ullal, Talapady, BC Road towards Puttur, Belthangady, Sullia, Mysuru must travel on the KC Road, Thokkottu, Mudipu road. Vehicles heading towards Udupi must travel via Thokkottu, Nantoor Vamanjoor, Gurupur, Kaikamba, Bajpe, Kinnigoli and Mulki. Three check posts will function at Kavoor Junction, Kulur and Kottara.

The identified parking areas for September 2 are : Delta Ground, Bangrakulur(VVIP Parking), Paduva ground, NMPT  Ground, Somayaji Ground, Tannirbavi Road, Kuntikana – Kavoor Road, MSEZ Road, Malady Court, Urwa Store Market ground, Vyasanagar Road, AJ Engineering College ground (VVIP Parking) and KPT ground.
