Traffic Signal at Hampanakatte Junction Goes Live: Few Changes Made in the Routes

The reopened traffic signal at the Hampanakatte Junction, which is operated by the Mangalore City Traffic Police as per a suggestion from the Mangalore City Corporation went live on Thursday. As soon as the signal went live the vehicles piled up on the Maidan road and Balmatta road which was closed for ever since the junction was closed for cross movement of vehicles since 2014. Now, with the introduction of traffic signals at the junction, vehicles coming from Hampankatta can take a right turn towards Falnir road and vehicles coming from KS Rao Road can move straight towards Falnir Road and take a right towards Hampankatta and vehicles coming from Balmatta can take a right towards KS Rao Road and also vehicles coming from Falnir Road can go straight towards KS Rao Road and also take a right towards right turn towards Light House Hill Road. The waiting time for each route is kept 100 seconds.
