Two Islands at Malpe-Padukare Will be Developed to Promote Tourism: Master Plan Likely to be Ready Soon

Udupi Deputy Commissioner K. Vidyakumari has asked the Tourism Department of Karnataka to prepare a master plan for developing infrastructure and tourism-related attractions at Daria Bahadur and Malti islands of Malpe-Padukare.

Daria Bahadur and Malti islands attract tourists and hence necessary facilities for tourists should be created. The DC asked the Tourism Department to make seating and parking arrangements for tourists visiting Someshwara beach. The department should ensure that operators of water sports and adventure activities introduce third-party insurance coverage for tourists participating in such activities. This condition should be mentioned in the permission. The Deputy Commissioner asked the authorities to install street lights on NH 66 at Trasi.
