Udupi gets creative to spread awareness on Traffic Rules: Click to know how

July 23: The Udupi District Administration is spreading awareness on road safety and traffic rules by getting school walls painted. Majority of the schools in the district, especially those facing the roads have painted the walls with traffic rules. This has been done following the instructions of deputy commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati.
The District administration has planned to reach out to 150 schools by the end of this month. There are almost 60 drawing teachers and of these 30 are women. 20 teams have been formed out of which one team will look after two schools.
Content related to road safety is being painted by art teachers on walls of schools facing national highways, state highways and major national highways. Slogans and pictures on road safety, traffic rules are being drawn on walls that are visible on the highway.
The administration is also working on releasing an awareness video on traffic rules and road safety based on Yakshagana on Independence Day.
