Veteran Congress leader Janardhana Poojary breaks his vow made before elections: Seeks apology

July 1: Veteran Congress leader Janardhana Poojary had vowed not to visit Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, church and masjid if Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate Mithun Rai failed to win the Dakshina Kannada constituency during the Lok Sabha elections. He had given this statement before Loksabha Elelctions were held.
Poojary broke his vow and entered Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara temple on Sunday, June 30. He sought apology before the god and offered special pooja at the temple.
He said that the vow taken not to enter Kudroli temple, church and masjid was the biggest mistake of his life and he shouldn’t have issued such a statement. Poojari mentioned that he will soon visit masjid and churches too to seek apologize and also prayed that God should pardon him for this mistake.
