Vote For Your Favourite Tourist Spot in Dakshina Kannada For It to be Developed by Union Ministry of Tourism

The Dakshina Kannada tourism department has requested people to vote for their favourite tourist spot in the district, that can be developed through the Union ministry of tourism. People may choose their favourite tourist attractions across various categories, as part of Dekho Apna Desh, People’s Choice 2024. Along with various tourist destinations, many of the spots in Dakshina Kannada have also been included in the campaign. The selected tourist spots in Dakshina Kannada will be developed by the Centre.

Participants can input their favourite tourist attractions into five defined categories that align with their preferences. It’s mandatory for participants to select at least one attraction they have already visited from any of the five categories, and choose at least one attraction that they wish to visit in the future. People may choose the top three tourist attractions that they have visited under different categories, including spiritual, cultural & heritage, nature & wildlife, adventure, and other tourist attractions.

Participants also must suggest what they would like to improve about a particular tourist attraction. The winning attractions identified will enable the ministry of tourism, govt of India to develop attractions and destinations in mission mode, contributing to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047. The last date for voting is Sept 15.
