Vrikshotasava 2019 Inaugurated in Mangalore

September 25:  Vrikshotsava 2019 organized by the Forest Department in association with various organisations was inaugurated by Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary at Town hall in Mangalore on Tuesday, September 25.
Minister Srinivas Poojary said that people should activelt take part in environment protection.

Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath presided over the function and  said there has been a plan to introduce urban forestry programme in  Mangalore under which there it has been proposed to grow trees in selected areas with the help of public. He also stressed the need for making rain water harvesting compulsory.
