Water Storage Tanks to be Built Across Twenty Locations in Mangalore: Check Out

February 12: In order to supply modern technology-based drinking water to the residents of Mangalore, Jalasiri Scheme is being implemented with the aid of ADB (Asian Development Bank) across 20 locations of the city.
According to this, 2-storey water storage tanks with a storage capacity of 10 lac liters will be constructed near Officers’ Club of Ladyhill and at Bala. Eight intermediate pumps will be constructed in different parts of Mangalore to regulate continuous supply of drinking water to the residents.Twenty water tanks are planned to be built across differents locations in the city for this purpose. The proposed water storage tanks will be built near Nandigudda grounds, Udayanagara, Kodipadi, Nehru Maidan, Amritnagar at Tiruvailu, Shaktinagar (near the current GLSR), Maryhill (GLSR that is vacant now), Krishnapura (near government school), Morgans Gate (near Mangalore Club), Meenakaliya near Panambur, Cemetery at Kankanady Valencia, Kunjathbail, Santhoshnagar at Pacchanady, near NITK (near the tank that is already functioning), Nekkilagudda near Lohithnagara, Holyhill at Jayanagar, near J M Road at Bajal, Kana near Kulai, M V Shetty College near Kavoor and Kodikal.
