Week Long Prohibitory Orders Imposed in Udupi District From June 7: Click For More Details

The Udupi district administration has imposed section CRPC 144 (3) from June 7, Monday 6 am till June 14, Monday morning in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Udupi DC G Jagadeesha has issued new guidelines to prevent the increasing positivity rate and reduce the mortality rate in the district. All activities except medical and essential services will remain closed whereas, the government services departments and banks can operate with up to 50% occupancy. Plans of traveling in trains and flights, which were fixed earlier, are allowed. Taxi, cabs and auto-rickshaws can be used to reach the destination.  by showing the tickets.
Those violating the rules will be booked. Strict action will be taken according to Disaster Management Act 2005, Karnataka Epidemic Disease act 2020 and section IPC 188. This order is not applicable on government meetings and programmes.
