Work on St Mary’s Island Jetty to Begin Soon: Know More About This

October 22: Work on the proposed jetty at St Mary’s Island will begin by January 2021 and is expected to be completed within three months. The work on the jetty will be taken up at a cost of Rs 4.2 crore.
Currently, tourists are ferried in big boats to St Mary’s Island from Malpe are made to board smaller boats 150m away from the island.
The district administration had planned to develop St Mary’s Island as an upcoming adventure sports destination. Variety of sports activities, aero sports, dolphin sighting and many more are planned. The main focus will be on eco-tourism and geo-tourism.
