Youth From Dakshina Kannada Becomes The Head of India’s First Innovation & Incubation Center
Konark Rai from Puttur, Dakshina Kannada has brought glories to Puttur, by being the head of the Security And Scientific Technical Research Association, also known as SASTRA. It is considered as India’s first Innovation and Incubation Center under the umbrella of Rashtriya Raksha University in Gujarat, SASTRA drives focused innovation that empowers entrepreneurs, startups and innovators to bring change and solve problems in the field of national security. Presently, SASTRA is incubating six start-ups and the Rashtriya Raksha University has also entered into an agreement with the Indian Navy with the objective of commercializing four of its innovations.
Konark Rai is the son of Pramod Kumar Rai and T Shobha Rai from Puttur, had his early education at Bishop Cottons Boys’ School, Bengaluru, Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva School, Alike and St Victor’s School in Puttur. He graduated from the Gujarat National Law University. He has also worked as a political and policy analyst in the United Nations.
