11 File Nominations From DK & 13 From Udupi-Chikmangalore Constituency For Upcoming Lok Sabha Election
The Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency received 21 nominations from 11 candidates for the election to be held on April 26. The candidates who filed nominations in Dakshina Kannada include R Padmaraj (Congress), Capt Brijesh Chowta (BJP), Kanthappa (Bahujan Samaj Party), Supreeth Kumar Poojary (Janahitha Paksha), Supreeth Kumar Poojary (Janata Dal United), KE Manohara (Uttama Prajaakeeya Party), Ranjini M (Karnataka Rashtra Samithi), Durga Prasad (Karunada Sevakara Party), Francis Lancy Madtha, Sathish B, Maxim Pinto, and Deepak Rajesh Coelho (independent). BJP candidate Chowta and Congress candidate Padmaraj have filed four sets of nominations each. A few of the independent candidates have also filed multiple sets of nominations.
Whereas in Udupi-C’magalur constituency, 13 candidates have filed 19 nominations as of Thursday. Candidates are K Jayaprakash Hegde (Congress), Kota Shrinivas Poojari (BJP), KT Radhakrishna (Bahujan Samaj Party), Supreeth Kumar Poojary (Janahitha Paksha), Shabareesh R (Karunada Sevakara Party), L Ranganath Gowda (Karnataka Rashtra Samithi), MK Dayananda (Proutist Sarva Samaj), Sachin BK (Uttama Prajaakeeya Party), Vijayakumar MG, KR Kusuma, Raj Ballal, and H Suresh Poojary (independent).
