13,290 students from DK and 4,769 from Udupi appear for CET

April 30: A total of 13,290 students in Dakshina Kannada are appearing for the CET examinations on April 29 and 30. The district has 26 examination centres, which includes 13 in Mangalore,  8 in Moodbidri, 2 in Belthangady and 3 in Puttur.
About 4,769 students are appearing for the CET in Udupi district. The district has 11 examination centres including 6 in Udupi, 3 in and 2 in Karkala.
Colleges where the examinations will be held are provided with all basic facilities like wall clocks. Students appearing for exams will not be allowed to wear or carry any type of wrist watches, tablets, mobile phones, calculators or any other electronic goods inside the examination hall. A three-member committee consisting of the tahsildar, the block education officer and the principal, has been formed to take question papers from the district treasury to the respective examination centres. The question papers will be transported in a GPS incorporated vehicle.
