March 27: Fifteen persons had filed 24 nominations in dakshina kannada district, out of which only 14 nominations have been accepted after scrutiny.
The candidates whose nominations were accepted are Supreeth Kumar Poojary (Hindustan Janata Party), Vijay Srinivas C (Uttam Prajakeeya Party), Deepak Rajesh Coelho (Independent), Nalin Kumar Kateel (BJP), Maxim Pinto (Independent), Mohammed Elyas (SDPI), Mithun M Rai (Indian National Congress), Ismail Shafiq (Independent), Mohammed Khalid (Independent), Domonic Alexander D’Souza (Independent), Venkatesh Bende (Independent), S Sathish Salian (BSP), Abdul Hamid (Independent), H Suresh Poojary (Independent). The nomination of  Sudarshan from BJP was rejected as he was a dummy candidate.
The last date for withdrawal of nomination is March 29.
