236 Candidates File Nominations for MCC Elections: Here are the Details

November 1: An election will be held for 60 wards of the Mangalore City Corporation on November 12 and the vote counting will take place on November 14. As many as 236 nomination papers were received for the election of MCC council.
While the BJP has submitted 94 nominations, 66 candidates have submitted papers from the Congress. Both the parties will be contesting from all the 60 wards. JD(S) has filed 14 nominations, SDPI has submitted 10 and eight candidates of CPI(M) filed papers. Along with these nearly 35 independent candidates have filed their nomination papers to contest the election.
October 31, Thursday was the last date to file nominations and November 4, Monday is the last date to withdraw the nominations.
