50-Year-Old Autorickshaw Driver Suffers Heart Attack: This is How Dr Padmanabh Kamath Saves His Life

A 50-year-old autorickshaw driver, who was on his way to Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital in Kateel, for a consultation with Dr Padmanabh Kamath, suffered a massive heart attack during his journey on Friday. Dr Kamath, visits Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital in Kateel every last Fridays of each month, was on his way to Kateel.

After being informed about the incident, Dr Kamath immediately turned back the car and went approximately 10km to procure Streptokinase—a medication used to dissolve blood clots that have formed in blood vessels—directly from the distributor. He kept the medicine in an ice pack to maintain its effectiveness and successfully administered it, saving the patient’s life.
