Instead of Rs 1.2 Crore Clock Tower, These Seven Things Would Have Been Beneficial For Mangaloreans

The Clock Tower we all know which was Planned and even executed by Ex Mayor Kavita Sanil and MCC Commissioner Mohd Naseer costs almost whooping Rs 1.2 crores. This clock tower in Hampankatta is not only a burden to the traffic but also a waste of taxpayers money.

The WHOPPING Rs 1.2 crores could have been used for several other beneficial things.
1. 6000 cycles worth Rs 2000 could have been given to deserving Government school children.
2. 40 houses could have been built worth Rs 3 Lakhs.
3. 60 rickshaws could have been distributed to unemployed deserving youth.
4. Gandhi Park could have been renovated in a modern way.
5. 10 More Anganwadis could have been build in the city.
6. 12000 good quality dustbins could have been placed across the city.
7. 1500 parking signs could have been installed across the city.
Let us hope in future tax payers money is not wasted in illogical projects and the taxpayers money can be utilized in a way which benefits Mangalore & Mangaloreans.
