Cyclonic Conditions in Arabian Sea: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in Mangalore & Udupi
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall for the next four days in the coastal region following the development of a low pressure area in the Arabian Sea resulting in formation of cyclonic conditions.
The Dakshina Kannada & Udupi district administration is taking precautionary measures and has issued guidelines to the public. Fishermen have been prohibited from venturing into the sea. Public and tourists have also been warned against stepping into the water in the river/sea.
