Cruise Port Likely to be Build at Ullal to Boost Tourism in Coastal Districts: Minister Mankala Vaidya

The state government is planning to build a cruise port at Ullal in order to boost tourism. Minister Mankala Vaidya said that there is huge demand for cruise tourism in coastal district and therefore the cruise port will be being built near Ullal on the southern part of Mangalore. The government has thought of building port which can accommodate two 10-meter deep cruise ships at a time.

The blueprint of 625-meter long and 1325-meter wide cruise port between Talapady and Battappady beach near NH 66 is already done. Discussion over vehicle parking, terminal building, administrative office and other facilities provision was held in a meeting.
