The Dakshina Kannada district administration, in association with the Horticulture Department, Siri Totagarika Sangha and Kadri Park Development Association, has organised a Flower and Fruit show in Kadri Park from January 23 to January 26.

The floral representations of notable personalities from the State and region will be exhibited. The models will be created using over 15,000 flowers grown in the park, including Salvia, Sevantige, Marigold, Astar, Jenia, Dianthus, Vinca Rosea, Cockscomb, Dahlia, Petunia and Torino. The event will also feature an exhibition showcasing ornamental flowers, Bonsai and Ikebana arrangements. A variety of honey products, medicines and other value-added home products from honey producers and farmers’ organisations will be on sale. Various nurseries, seed production units, manure production facilities and agricultural firms will also showcase and sell their products.

Those wishing to display and sell products at the show should bring them to Kadri Park by 10.30 a.m. on January 22. The entry fee for adults is ₹30 and for children is ₹20. Students in school uniform, accompanied by their teacher, can enter for free.
